Creative Biography

There is a vitality, a life force, an energy, a quickening that is translated through you into action, and because there is only one of you in all of time, this expression is unique. And if you block it, it will never exist through any other medium and it will be lost. The world will not have it. It is not your business to determine how good it is nor how valuable nor how it compares with other expressions. It is your business to keep it yours clearly and directly, to keep the channel open....
--Martha Graham

I describe myself as an Artist-at-Large. I've created my workshops to show that you are an artist, and to get you in touch with your larger story.

I've devoted my life to creative inquiry, gathering tools and processes for unlocking the whole human. What makes creativity work? What causes breakthroughs? What is the bridge between science and spirit, reality and imagination? These are the questions that propel me forward. I believe creativity will save the world and us, and people who express their natural creativity are happier, more self-empowered and closer to achieving what they were meant to do in this lifetime.

I am a lifelong artist with a background that includes theatre, ritual, performance, music, dance, writing and the visual arts. I've written eight novels, won fiction contests, and produced one-woman art and cabaret shows. I paint, sit in at jazz jams, and dance burlesque. I don't say this necessarily to brag. If I can do these things, I believe you can, too.

I have professional training in NLP, hypnosis, shamanistic journeying, and life coaching, and am a Reiki (Usui) Level III practitioner. I became a SoulCollage(R) facilitator in 2013. In 2015, I completed the Color of Woman® training, led by internationally known artist and activist Shiloh Sophia McCloud. Her work with Intentional Creativity™ provides a handy container for everything I know. I continue to explore different transformative techniques, including Catt Geller's Cosmic Smash Booking(TM), Cat Caracelo's Journey/MoonCircles(TM) and Christina Merkley's SHIFT-IT process.

I believe that anyone can be creative...that everyone is, and everyone can express their creativity in their lives. We come into this world singing, dancing, making art, telling stories and connected to the Earth and our genius. It's just a matter of re-membering these talents to create our masterwork...our lives as we were meant to live them.
